How to do the Around the World
Often just called an ATW. From a toe delay you set the bag up, circle the same foot all the way around it, and catch it again on a toe delay. It is circled BETWEEN DELAYS, not between kicks - the delay at each end is what makes it an add.
Tutorial by PassBack
STEP BY STEP
- Start from a toe delay on your dominant foot.
- Set the bag straight up, around waist high - straight up, not forward.
- Circle that same foot all the way around the bag, either in to out or out to in.
- Keep the circle tight and close so the foot gets back under in time.
- Catch the bag again on a toe delay with the same foot.
TIPS
- Both directions count the same, so learn whichever circle feels natural first.
- Tight circles land, wide circles run out of time. Travel around the bag, not around the room.
- It starts and ends on a delay. If you are kicking it up and kicking it again, that is not an ATW.
